Exeter Eyesore – A Route to Regret

Currently a “yes” vote to sell our member-owned “not-for-profit” Water Company (WOWSC) could leave our beautiful rural neighborhood open to a giant eyesore of Corporate Construction.

A large part of our water plant is currently hidden deep in the 40-acre oak and cedar forest along the east side of Exeter Rd.

Should a for-profit corporation, such as the private equity firm backed corporation solicited today, purchase our water company, this land (asset) could easily be re-purposed. The mile-long drive down Exeter, home to the deer and other wildlife as well as a time to take a calming breath before reaching your doorstep, could easily become the “Exeter Eyesore.” And, a route to regret.
