Marcus Vidrine — A Board needs to know and understand the purpose of the organization and be familiar with the organizational documents. Effective communication from the board to the members is key to any successful board. Ensuring long-term financial stability by monitoring the use of funds and maintaining long-term assets is equally important as it is one of the Boards main objectives. In all this a board ultimately needs to listen to the members, empathize with different perspectives, understand people have differing opinions, agree or disagree respectfully, and show gratitude. At the end of the day, the board cannot be all thing to all people; it must know its limitations and realize its job
If you elect me I come with the following leadership experience having served as Chairman or President on most of the following: Zoning Board of Adjustment & Good Samaritan Center, (Fredericksburg); Planning & Zoning, Board of Adjustment, Home Rule Charter Committee (Hondo); Flying L PUD; Lakewood Civic Association; Gillespie County Crime Stoppers; Kiwanis, Rotary, Lions and a few more. |

Personal Thoughts — Since my wife, Candy, and I purchased our home in Windermere Oaks we have enjoyed meeting neighbors and making friends. We work during the week in Fredericksburg and spend every weekend and more in Windermere. Growing up on the water, it is great to be back.
Our four children, Marcus III, Austin, and Madison, their spouses and kids dream to join us whenever they can. They are as close as Ft. Worth and as far as California and Alaska. Our youngest, Carlton, is a sophomore in High School which is one reason we’re still working in Fredericksburg. Oh, we have two harmless dogs, Burg and Ernie. |

My degree is in accounting from the University of Houston and it has taken me from Public Accounting which transitioned into banking. I currently work for FirstCapital Bank of Texas as a City President and have enjoyed more than 35 years in Commercial and Residential Real estate and Oil & Gas lending. I hope I can lend my skills to the financial & governing documents issues as needed in our community.
Candy is an Interior Designer and enjoys working with her clients when she is not at the lake. I love to boat (was previously was an APBA boat racer) and fishing and flying are a couple hobbies of mine outside of hunting and skeet shooting. Windermere provides the best neighbors having flying, fishing and water activities in common.
