FACTS
WHO'S WHO?
LAWSUITS

DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR.

MIKE NELSON & JOE GIMENEZ have been badmouthed by certain individuals who have been
propagandizing over social media for years  . . .
Along with other previous & various current Directors these individuals are non-confrontational, and for years while fighting off angry litigants, they have gone about getting the business of our member-owned water company (WOWSC) taken care of.  Their accomplishments:

  • 7-years of PERFECT WATER (EPA & TCEQ REGULATED) throughout droughts, historic freezes, and zebra mussles.
  • Implemented NEW Online Billing and Customer Payment.
  • Initiated independent Financial assessment of WOWSC
  • Created the WOWSC Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Completed WOWSC (2019-2024) 5-year plan.
  • New water treatment plant backup generator -- kept the power on when so many local communities were without water during the major freezes & storms.
  • Worked with SAPA (Spicewood Airport Pilots Assoc.) to add (at SAPA’s cost) additional waste water dispersal area
  • New 125,000 gallon storage tank to accommodate growth of community, from current 290 members to up to 610.
  • Zebra mussel mitigation — installing filtration systems to keep ZMs out of tanks and processing equipment.
  • Received LCRA & TPWD permits to dispose of ZMs.
  • Completed water intake barge rebuild
  • Interconnection between WO & Ridge Harbor established for emergency backup pressurization assistance
  • New SCADA system (WOWSC Water Treatment Plant computer system)
  • Installed new security system
  • Repaired and improved wastewater dispersal fields
  • Implemented recommendations of New Gen report, creating a WOWSC Financial Policy, establishing financial policy for future board's administration
  • ONGOING: zebra mussel mitigation, new clarifier, irrigation field expansion, and more . . .
  • BIGGEST CHALLENGE: Defending WOWSC from litigants who put WOWSC non-profit status (Way to lowest rates) at risk.
